I first created these emoticons just for my site, but soon after, the question “Where did you get your smilies?” became my #1 FAQ. So here they are; all 30 icons nicely zipped for you to download. If you use these on your website or anywhere online, please leave a clear link to aneesah.pixelled.com, crediting me as the creator of the icons.
And of course these aren’t really text, but they were mostly made from text characters. I just didn’t feel like drawing the emoticons from scratch.
Note: These may work for Blogger too (though as I understand, only on the old system), you just need to use Firefox, install Greasemonkey, and either one of these user scripts: black smilies or white smilies. Thanks to WolverineX02! (I just modified his Javascript code, considering my lack of knowledge in this language.)
Small Smiley Cursors

These were made a long time ago using a free cursor-making software. (I’ve forgotten the name of it, sorry.) Instructions on how to install the cursors are included as a text file in the zip folder. These are for Windows, and they look better if you check “Enable pointer shadow” setting in the Mouse Properties dialog box.
I’ve been using them myself for years, and it’s quite entertaining when the hard drive is busy because the cursor will seem to be making faces at you. Heheh.
